There is so much information on the web related to accounting.  I have included some of the URL’s I found searching the web to the left of my website.  I had such a hard time figuring out what I wanted to do with the rest of my life.  I am a math person, so I knew I wanted to do something with that, and it wasn’t until I started working at a bank that I realized that I wanted to be an accountant.  Most accounting positions require a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, and the passing of the CPA exam.  After getting my accounting degree at The University of Florida, I plan on getting married to my finance of 8 years and starting a family.  With the standard 40 hour work week I can have both a family and a career. “In 2004, accountants held about 1.2 million jobs and are expected to grow faster than average through the year 2014.” www.bls.gov/oco.   In May 2004, the average median salary of an accountant was $50,770.00.  With that being my salary, plus my husbands salary I think that we will be able to support our family, and enjoy our lifes.I think overall Accounting fits my personality and my life.  It is a credible field and I enjoy numbers.  I will be able to spend time with my family and still have a career.
